Van Spilbergen travelled to Caylon, the first westerner to set foot on the Kingdom, discussing a trading treaty with the then ruler, about supply of Cinnamon, to Aceh and finally to Bantam (Java) and back home. For the first time published in the series. Very fine, partly unopened and untrimmed copy. Rare.

Printed with Joh. Enschedé & Sons., Haarlem, 1938. The S.M.N. upheld for a very long period passenger-connections from Amsterdam to and fro dutch colonial Indonesia from the late nineteenth into the twentieth centiry. A fine piece of advertising art.
