Framed under glass with an oak frame. Extensive legenda printed in both upper corners. Explanatory text-booklet pasted on back of frame, [4]pp. of text suppl. general information on the ship, monogramme printed on upper wrap.
A beautiful and large diagram of this famous passenger-ship. Apart from some light fading of colours a very good copy. (tiny corner of p. 3 of explanat. text-booklet, (at verso) torn-away with minimal text-loss, edges with light fraying, upper wrap. somewh. soiled).

Permission to leave was difficult to obtain from the belligerents of the "Great War", also the aspect of the U-boat war has to be taken into consideration. A fine copy in orig. boards. Scarce.

[circa], 1905 A circular stamped-out metal disc, ø: 4,5cm., original glass top, the base being a relief-map showing the positions of the Russian and Japanese Fleets at Port Arthur during the Russo-Japanese war of 1905. Ships indicated by tiny metal balls which one has to place in small declivities stamped in the metal bottom. ["R.P. Rc No 435095, stamped in outer metal bottom, probable a registration-number]. SCAN AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
A presumably contemporary war-souvenir, being a 'game' dealing with the naval battle between the Russian and Japanese fleet in 1905. A very interesting and rare war-souvenir indeed. Very good condition.
