COVENS & PIETER MORTIER I (Cartographers), Mappe Monde, ou Globe Terrestre, en deux plans Hémisphères. [Authentic handcoloured Facsim. edition in Miniature reproduced].
Amsterdam, Frits & Marijke Beukers, 1995 Handcoloured Map featuring both Hemispheres, fremed under glass, [155x120mm.]. This World Map based on Nolin's famous map of 1700 was probably made by Pieter Mortier I (1661-1711) and later reworked by the Firm of Covens & (Cornelis ) Mortier. This miniature reproduction after an original in the Nederlands Scheepvaar Museum in Amsteram, measuring 150x120cm., was made by the artist-printed Johan de Zoete, using the dustgrain photogravure process. It was printed on 300grs. Hahnemühle paper. This reproduction is published by Frits and Marijke Beukers in an edition of 100 copies, numbered 1-100. A special edition of 10 copies, numbered I-X, has been carefully handcoloured in fine pastel shades by Marijke Beukers, the original map serving as a model. This copy bears nr. VII/X.

Together in its original coloured thin boards slipcase with title at front.
Three undated (last part nineteenth century) odd meteorological maps, illustrating Isothermal maps for January-December, January and July. Compiled by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove (1803-1879), founder and pioneer of comparative meteorology. Maps have been dedicated to Alexander von Humboldt and drawn by Lange. Very good condition. (slipcase heavily chafed and rubbed at extremities).

A masterly compiled and published atlas in english language, illustrating mineral resources from Leadville and Vicinity, Colorado, U.S.A. A collection of very fine mainly coloured lithographed geological profiles, single- and double-page in clean and fresh condition. Althoug the text-volume is NOT present, still of great historical and geological importance, with its silver-lead deposits discovered in the late nineteengh century. (Copy with a modern private cloth spine, corners of covers skilfully reinforced by modern cloth, edges in general shaved and rubbed, front-margin of one map repaired with sellotape, maps in very clean and fresh condition however).

S.I.,m s.n. Germany [Circa]=, 1930 68 monochrome photocards, each 140x90mm. Not circulated. Reproduced after original photos from a private collection dating from the early 1920s. Multi-language boild monochrome text on verso listing the word "Postkarte". No further provenance available.
Monochrome cards with images of mainly nude female models in a great variety off positions, includig some images illustrating explicite sex, sado-masochist pictures between man and woman, female duo's, spanking and flogging, all in various stages of undress or in complete nudity. No provenance disclosed, however very likely from german origin. Collection in excellent condition.
