Dutch language essay in which an assessment is given about thejapanese political indoctrination of nationalis Indonesian leaders under the japanese opperssion of Indonesia during the Second Worldwar. In his introduction author describes the origin and developm ent of Indonesian nationalism and the formation of political parties, in which he includes a note about the Communist rebellion of 19246. Further detailed attention is paid to the political/military collaboration with the japanese by foremost indonesian leaders as Sukarno C.S.; the formation and training of indonesian auxiliary troops and armed local nationalist and revolutionary groups is widely discussed and described. At the end author draws the conculusion thet Japan had to swallow a complete military defeat in 1945, japan and her indonesian collaborators won the war from a political-military point of view. Still a very interesting publication hence the figurative booktitle. Very good copy.

Her contributions to the Indonesian revolution, her stay in the U.S.A. and her final return to an independent Indonesia. A mixture of personal and political notes, a unique report on colonialism, war and revolution. Very good copy.

Major attention is paid to geography and climate, means of subsistence, e.g. the economic importance of the colony, only a few chapters deal with religion and religious taboos, the indonesian population and some minimal info. about do's and dont's. Obviously winning the hearts and minds of locals was not, in the eyes of the ministry, the major objective of this booklet. Copy marked in print "Confidential". Published by command of the dutch General Staff, ministry of defence. Very good copy. (some private ms. annotations in top margin of ti.-p., some traces of sellotape inside front cover).

Dutch language commemmorative compilation of contributions about the horrors and personal experienced during the so-called Bersiap period in liberated Indonesia afer the japanese ippression 1942-1945. Bersiap is the name given by the Dutch to a violent and chaotic phase of the Indonesian National Revolution following the end of World War II and the end of the japanese oppression. The indonesian word Bersiap means "Get ready", or "be prepared". Unfortunately [dutch female inmates and children] were left without protection by lack of european troops were attacked, murdered and tortured by small indonesian groups of murderous indonesian youngsters. Very good copy with some significant contributions.
