An essay, published in a dutch literary periodical, "De Parelduiker", that throws new light on youth and adolescence of the famous dutch authoress of colonial literature Madelon Székely (née Lulofs) and the relation with her father a civil colonial servant, resident in the former dutch territory of New Guinea, who committed suicide february 1922. Madelon Székely-Lulofs received her first world-wide success whith her novel "Rubber", published (1932). (and other essays on a variety of literary subjects, in total a 72pp. issue).
