The Royal Dutch Palace "Het Loo" used to be guarded by gardeners employed by the palace up till 1908, when the then dutch Queen Wilhelmina requested the Royal Dutch Constabulary to take-over the guard and protection of the Royal Family. This is probable one of the very last photographs of the phenomenon. An interesting ephemeric piece of historical value. In good to very good condition.
