English/chinese language publication with many reproductions after original paintings by Lee Man Fong(1913-1988) from chinese descent (born in Gouangzhou. Man Fong migrated to Indonesia. After the Pacific war Man Fong received a Malino scholarship through Van Mook, Lieutenant Voevernor-General of post-war Indonesia for further studies in Europe. After his return and successful exhibitions in Europe Man Fong received the position of Sukarno's Court Painter, succeeding Basuki Abdullah. Very good copy. (a little bit dog-eared, top of spine a bit numped).

Volunteer contingent during the Korea-war and was improsoned as a P.O.W. on Hainan Island, Republic of China. His Camp sermons have been partly preserved. Privately published in a limited edition of 25 numbered copies only, printed on "Oud Hollands" paper. This copy bears nr. 11. Very fine copy. Rare.
