Borne, Cinderella, [circa], 1960 Large 8°., original stiff paper four-fold harmonica, title and an illustration on front side. 10 large black/white illustrations of embroidered bed-sheets and pillow-lace with manufacturers id.-numbers printed at tails, last fold with together 4 original pastel-shade coloured linen fabric samples, with promotional text, also on verso. Manufacturer's 12-point quality standards printed on verso of fourth fold with manufacturer's trade-mark in black/white.
A fine dutch language example of advertising, being promotion of embroidered linen facbric bed-sheets and pillow-laces as presented by a dutch manufacturer "Cinderella" at Borne municipality. Very well preserved.

Total size 44x36 cm., depicting a landscape with a wind-mill in the "Schermer Polder", North Holland Province, commemmorating the 300th anniversary of the Polder. In EXCELLENT condition. Arnout Jacobus Gustaaf Colnot took his training as a draughtsman in the decoration-studio J. Maandag, but completed his training as an autodidact in painting and lithography of landscapes, still-life, city-and village-views, interiors, &c. He became one of the foremost members of the so-called "Bergense School", and was awarded a variety of prizes, as the St. Lucas-prize and the silver medal at Paris 1948. He was one of the masters of the North-holland landscape. His works can be found in a.o. the Municipal "Van Abbemuseum", Eindhoven, the The Hague municipal Museum, the Haarlem "Frans Hals" museum and in the dutch State Collection of Arts. The lithograph here offered for sale was made to commemmorate the 300th anniversary of the so-called "Schermer" Polder, North-holland province. Copy in MIT condition.

A satyrical pictorial account of tlife and career of Henricus or Hendrik Colijn, including his stay in dutch colonial Indonesia: a former famous dutch States-man, adjutant to the General Van Heutsz during the pacification of Aceh, as emplyoee of the Royal Dutch Shell and later as Prime Minister of Holland during the world-recession. Published by command of the then dutch Labour Party, S.D.A.P. at Amsterdam. Published as a look-alike to old dutch catchpenny prints, with captions in semi-old dutch language. Very good copy. (twon minor marginal tears skilfully restored with clearview acidfree tape).

Original dutch language trick to be poerformed before an audience. A late nineteenth century Dutch East Indies trick with manual. Very well preserved and complete. Rare.

Tomlinson on [4]pp., another article on the ship & numerous very fine coloured plates, tipped-in plates, smaller illustrations all after paintings by [ao.], Dame Laura Knight, Philip Connard, MacDonald Gill, incl. a plate depicting cartoons of various sporting heroes (boxing, Golf & Tennis: Fred Perry, Bill Tilden, "Suzanne" [Lenglen], Jean Borotra), 1 double-p. plate after a painting by C.E. Turner of R.M.S. "Q.M.", &c. depicting interiors of private diningrooms, carved doors, &c.
An interesting piece of shipping ephemera, in fairly good condition depicting fittings of R.M.S. Queen Mary: her name coincidently acquired as the Cunard White Star directors had suggested to King George V to name the ship after "Our Great Queen"(=Queen Victoria), the King however understood this as his wife's name being indicated; Queen Mary. (grease-stain in lower part of upper wrp. and in first few. pp, extremities of covers scuffed).
