Dutch-english language Hymn played by the Titanic orchestra at the moment the Passengeship "that could not sink", the TITANIC went down after a collision with an iceberg. The Hymn "Nearer my God to Thee". was printed and published shortly after the disaster by command the Salvation Army. Very well preserved. Very rare.

Signed in full by artist at lower right corner:"Ronald Tolman, Lokhorststraat 18, Leiden".
Original dutch language apology in which the painter and graphic artistRonal Tolman addresses members of the Leyden municipal Fine Arts Committee, questioning committee's rejection of a previously applied request for financial support. Occasionally distributed amongst friends, very few copies extant and surviving the course of time. An interesting ephemeric piece by a young artist who made his career as a selfmade painter, draughtsman, graphic artist and much later a sculptor.

This unnumbered issue commemmorates the liberation of Holland, besides some general articles, it contants, on last page) a welcome-note to the allies in english, and a note on the most proific leaders: Montgomery, Eisenhower, President Roosevelt and Sir Winston Churchill. Very well preserved. (centre-folded).

Probably issued at the beginning of the wentieth century, NOT recorded however in GOOIJAERS. Very fine set. (lacks card no. 6).

At the end of each issue a fairly large logo appears featuring a duck on top of a paper folded ship with the imprint "Times". The duck symbolizes the "Canard"" or a piece of mis-information printed in newspapers. To be sold as a Lot only. Rather well preserved.
