The "Morschpoort" or "Morspoort" here featuring in 7 picture postcards, is the stone Western City Gate of Leiden municipality, in mannerist style designed by the Leiden Architect Willem van der Helm, constructed in 1669. The name "Morsch" or, "Mors", has been derived from the old dutch word for marshy grassland outside Leiden city walls. A nice collection.

Public warning by command of the Mayor of Borculo municipality, Gelderland Province, ordering inhabitants to keep their Sheepdogs on a Lease between 18.00 hrs. a.m. to 9.00 hrs. p.m., shiipdogs running free within this period will be shot on sight. The order, restraining civil liberties, was a precaution to spread of rabies in Borculo, hit by a cyclone 10th August 192O, causing disarray and vast devastation. It was legal to issue such an order as a Mayor is also Head of local Police/Constabulary. Borculo Municipality is situated in Gelderland Province, Achterhoek region. Very well preserved indeed. A rare piece of memorabilia.

Broadsheet distributed amongst the dutch population in Nazi-occupied Netherlands, being an offprint from the dutch nazi-party daily "Volk en Vaderland", being an article by the leader of the dutch nazi-party N.S.B., A.Mussert, criticising dutch colonial administration for the 'meaningless' loss of lives of dutch and indonesian navy-personnel in the Battle of the Java-sea agains the invading Japanese Fleet, 1942, in which some dutch capital cruisers went-down as the "Java" & "De Ruyter", and one was heavily damaged: the "Sumatra". A very rare broadsheet in very good condition.

Partly printed text and original Calligraphy in a very steady hand, within a broad and eleborate decorative tinted and lithographed border, which includes four decorative circular medallions, of which two have been initialled "NOC" (Nederlandsch Olympisch Comite), one medallion at top of border featuring a Greek head of a God, one at tail of border featuring the Royal Dutch State Lion, with a large square titnted and lithographed scenic illustration at tail margin, measuring aaprox. 33x14cm., featuring five competing Greek Athletes in the style of a Greek Frieze, featuring the Penthatlon. Designed by "Atelier"[Studio] Begeer and lithographed by W.A. Versluys & Scherjon, Utrecht. ADDED THE ORIGINAL [miniaturized] Regulation Medal, complete with the ribbon in the colours of the Dutch Flag, Red-White and Blue, with data engraved on verso. Certificate dated 14 December 1932 and signed in Ms. in ink by Secretary and President of the Dutch Olympic Committee, NOC. SCANNE IMAGE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
Original and Unique copy of this Official Certificate WITH the Regulation Medal. Presented to Lt.-Colonel Ryal Dutch Army A.E. Dudok van Heel (1915-1993), for proficiency during the Los Angeles Olymic Games 1932, Penthatlon. Very good copy. Extremely rare and much southt after.

Ninve captioned marginal monochrome illustrations featuring objects to protect under Air Raids, related instructive text on verso of chart.
Dutch language official wall chart published after the beginning of the Second World War by command of Dutch municipal councils in which the dutch population receives practical instrouctions about Air Raid Protection and how to manage a selection of nine situations, e.g.: the Home, the country itself, Harvest, Cattle, Factory, Monuments, Children, Storage buildings and Pets. Breathes a rather naïve perception about modern Air warfare. A very interesting ephemeric piece in very good condition.

[Wien], "Gesellschaft für Vervielfältigende Kunst", 1915 An original bi-coloured (yellow and black) woodblock print by Nieuwenkamp, actual size 20.5x18.5cm. being a view on Rhenen municipality with "Kunera"tower, Gelderland Province, the Netherlands, HUBERT, 50 Nieuwe Etsen, H 74 (page 68). SCAN AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
The original woodblock was sold in 1914 to the Viennese Society "Gesellschaft für Vervielfältigende Kunst". This original etching has been added to the first issue of the Societies' periodical "Graphischen Künste" (Graphic Arts). There was no production of other woodblock prints by Nieuwenkamp between 1912-1915, and no new states of earlier woodblock prints were issued. A very good copy of this etching.
